John Wood, CEO

Mr. Wood is a successful entrepreneur and investor who has been a founder of multiple industry-leading companies, including the largest renewable energy development company in the Caribbean (in terms of bankable power purchase agreements executed), and the largest union commercial and industrial electrical contracting firm in the US. Mr. Wood has served as lead banker or financial advisor on over $11 billion USD of public and public-private partnership project financings. Over his 40-year career, Mr. Wood has become a recognized leader in energy, waste, hospitality, gaming, real-estate and public-private partnership project financing. He has developed a global network of government and industry leaders and has been involved in business transactions in North America, South America, Asia, the Pacific, the Caribbean and Europe.

Mr. Wood was also a founder one of the largest real estate syndication and development companies in the US, a leading government call center company, and a company which aggregated capital equipment purchases for state and local government entities over the internet. In addition, Mr. Wood was a principal and founder of a company which partnered US companies with Chinese companies in order to expand into China.

Mr. Wood began his career as an investment banker at Smith Barney and Kidder Peabody & Co., becoming the youngest Vice President of both. He has taught undergraduate and graduate level courses in Economics, Finance and Investments, and has been actively involved in charitable endeavors involving children.
