Dennis Langley

Mr. Langley is President, CEO and Chairman of E3, LLC. He has developed, financed and owned over $2 billion of energy projects including the largest and first de-regulated gas pipeline system in the US. Mr. Langley has been active in politics professionally and voluntarily. In 1977 and 1978 he was counsel to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Sub-Committee. He was in charge of committee hearings, witness examination, legislative drafting and the briefing and preparation of the Committee Chairman, U.S. Senator Joseph R. Biden (D-Delaware). Mr. Langley was also the political speechwriter for Sen. Joseph Biden; writing more than 50 speeches that were delivered on the floor of the U.S. Senate, at commencement addresses, political conventions and rallies, foreign audiences, press conferences and for expert testimony.

Mr. Langley was the U.S. Vice Chairman of the Association of Democrat State Chairs (ASDC) and a member of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) since 1988 where he also served as the 14-state, Midwest Region’s Representative to the DNC Executive Committee. Dennis has been the State Democratic Chair of Kansas (1993-1999) and the South Dakota National Democratic Vice-Chair. He has actively worked in the U.S. presidential campaigns of Presidents Obama, Clinton, Carter and Vice-President Gore as well as in numerous successful congressional, senate and gubernatorial races, and served/serves in an advisory capacity to many elected officials, governmental panels and policy groups. Mr. Langley’ counsel and expertise is sought regarding energy policy, environmental preservation, Native American rights and sovereignty issues, grassroots campaigns, voter registration programs and economic development.

Mr. Langley attended the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. on full academic scholarship, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree while majoring in philosophy and general semantics, a Master of Arts degree in communication theory and psycho-linguistics and a Juris Doctorate. He received both his BA and MA degrees within 4 years via admission to and completion of an accelerated degree program. Mr. Langley graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and received the 1973 President’s Award as the University’s Outstanding Male Graduate. As an intercollegiate debater Mr. Langley won numerous prestigious debate tournaments and forensic events including the 1970 National Extemporaneous Speaking Championship and the 1971 International Debate Tournament of Champions. Mr. Langley graduated from Haven High School in Haven, Kansas where he was Student Body President, Kansas State Debate Champion, an honor student, active in sports, Class President and a member of the National Honor Society.
